Starwood Status Still in Effect from Last Year

Starwood status from last year is still in effect according to a source on Milepoint.
As you know, I was mourning the loss of my Starwood Gold status in a previous post because of some upcoming Westin trips.  I noticed that my status hadn’t “switched off yet†and waited to see what happened upon check-in.
The agent at check-in (at the Westin Palo Alto) explained the new March 1st benefits to me and helped me choose what option I wanted.  I chose free internet and logged in to post on Milepoint.com that I was still being offered benefits.  Lo and behold, Starwood beat me to it. 🙂
“We are a little behind from doing some extra IT chores related to all the new benefits, but we’ll get to these eventually, so enjoy whatever extra time you have at your old status level until the switch is flipped.” – SPG Champion
So, if you are like me and lost your status this year, enjoy it while it last!
