Two days ago, I wrote about a promotion on Amazon where you can get $10 in free Amazon credit towards the app store if you download the free app, Hay Day.
This promotion specified “download” when other offers have not. Amazon’s app store only works on Android phones. However, readers were reporting in the comments and on Twitter that they received the credit even without downloading the app.
I “bought” the app and chose not to download it. I received a confirmation less than 24 hours later indicating that I received my credit. So it looks anyone with an Amazon account can take advantage of this deal!
Amazon has a promotion going on right now where you can get $10 in free Amazon credit towards the app store if you download the free app, Hay Day.
For a limited time, customers who download Hay Day from Amazon Appstore between August 1, 2016 and August 31, 2016 will receive a $10 credit toward purchase of digital content in Amazon Appstore. Only customers who have not previously downloaded Hay Day from Amazon Appstore are eligible for this offer. Please note, it may take up to 48 hours for you to receive an e-mail confirming that the $10 Amazon credit has been applied to your account.
While most other app related promotions have only required you to “purchase” the free app, this promotion requires a download. So in order to redeem it, it looks like you must have an Android device.
I’ve “purchased it” and am going to wait a few days to see if the credit posts anyway. I’ll report back if it still posts.
If you are not currently using an Android device but have an old one lying around the house, you can connect that device to wifi and still redeem this promotion.
Hay Day is by Super Cell, creators of the smash hit, Clash of Clans.
