A US Airways Plane got stuck in the ground Friday during a record-breaking heat wave in Arlington, Virginia.
This has been a crazy weather month so far. The derecho storm left Keri with no power for days. And while we are used to high-temperatures in Arlington, we rarely have heat like this for eleven days in a row.
After heat like that for that long, I guess the ground just started getting a bit soft and couldn’t take it anymore. According to the Huffington Post, 35 passengers had to wait three hours until the plane was finally pulled free.
All I can say is, I’m glad my cross-country flight is leaving from the North-East!
