Mighty Travels just tipped me off to a post of theirs that shows how to travel around the world for under $1,000.
Here’s the email to me:
Two components of this deal. $381 from Los Angeles-Budapest-Tokyo and $581Â for the leg Tokyo-Manila-Los Angeles.
Start from Los Angeles and fly to Budapest and then continue to Tokyo – all for just $381! The flights are on Delta/ Alitalia and KLM. They should earn 100% miles on Delta Skymiles (booking class O and L on KLM) for the 13,764 miles.
Sample dates are November 11th for LAX-BUD and BUD-NRT on Nov 17th.
This fare can be searched on Google Flights. The flights from Los Angeles to Budapest and Tokyo are bookable on Orbitz.com.
From Tokyo return via Manila (with as much time as you need) on Philippine Airlines. You can search these flights via Google Flights as well. They are bookable on the Philippine Airlines website. You can only earn miles with Mabuhay Miles.
This prices as low as $581.
This might be something you’d like to share with your readers or take advantage of yourself 🙂
I presume this is all economy. For a person like me above 50 years of age, it is strongly recommended that you need to fit steel rods in your back bone before you dare.
Good price for west coasters who want to do Europe and Asia on the same trip!
