Every year, I’ve been a subscriber to the Virginia Wine Pass.  This pass is valid at over 100 wineries (and now some cideries/meaderies) and can get you bottle discounts, BOGO tastings/glasses, and complimentary tastings.  The card is good for two people.
Each year, the card is for sale and is valid through December 31st of the year you purchased it in. Â I usually wait for this memorial day sale to purchase the card at a discount.
Now through the end of May:Â the card is 50% off with coupon code 531save. Â The normal price is $69.
This makes sense since you are getting half of a year.
But I signed up for something new this year–they have an app as well, that is valid for 365 days after purchase. Â The 12 month app subscription is 30% off with coupon code memday .
While the app’s discount isn’t as big overall, it includes 12 months, vs. 6 months of discounts. Â In addition, you don’t have to remember to bring the card.
I’ve gotten the Wine Pass each year because it has paid for itself.  Two wineries that I love include two complimentary tastings with the card.  And the best part about the card is you can reuse it each time you go.
Every time I go to Barrel Oak Winery, I save $22 on tasting fees by using this app.
I just saw that another winery I frequent was added when looking up information for this post. Â We always buy a bottle when we go, and that winery offers two complimentary tastings with a bottle purchase. Â I wish I noticed that sooner, as we were there recently!
That’s another benefit to the app–all the wineries are on hand for quick reference. Â It is a bit clunky, but it works.
You can check out this link for a full list of what you get from each winery.
I recommend this to anyone who goes wine tasting around Virginia.
