If you’ve been in an Alaska Air lounge before, you know the magic that is made-to-order pancakes.
It’s like magic.
Holiday Inn Express, and it’s apparent spokesperson for late-night munchies, Rob Riggle, are hawking the pancakes, avaliable through the end of August.
From their Facebook page:
Pancakes at Night! Every night, 8pm to midnight, this August (ideas this good deserve their own month).
But wait, there’s more.
Not only do we get the pancakes with our stay, we get a commercial from Rob Riggle telling us how amazing late-night pancakes are.
Riggle comments that sometimes we arrive at a hotel, wondering if the airplane peanuts can count as dinner.
Been there, done that. Â Though, it won’t influence me into staying at a Holiday Inn Express (aside from me not being able to eat pancakes).
Part of the reason I’m loyal to Hyatt is showing up to things like this:
Sure beats airplane food. Â Plus, wine.
But I have to admit, those machines are cool.  Especially if you are traveling with children.  Though I’d expect the little ones would want to make way more pancakes than they could possible eat.  ….I know I would.
P.S. I tried to throw a Portal/cake reference in here, but the creative juices just weren’t flowing. Â Sigh.
Double bonus as your stay will make you appear to be smarter, with a full stomach after a nice breakfast:)
Heck I’d be happy for some pancakes prior to the 6:30am breakfast schedule at so many of the HIX’s I visit. Maybe they could move this from 5am to 6:30am at some locations 🙂
On a lot of in-and-out business trips, I’ve sighed when they would tell me the time breakfast started 😛
Sounds like something they should “roll” out in Colorado. 😉
