If you were already planning on seeing Suicide Squad, this is a great deal.  Basically, you can get a dollar off the movie price, plus get a DVD for free.

If you purchase a DVD off this list of comic book / super hero themed movies, you will receive a $8 gift card from Fandango, only applicable to Suicide Squad.

For example, you can get Watchman which is currently on sale for $6.99.  The Dark Knight is also $6.99.  Batman Begins is $6.99.
