Weather has been my enemy when traveling. Â Like when I traveled to Chicago during a snow storm.
But sometimes I use travel to alleviate the pain of weather.
I jumped to Florida when we were getting a snow storm at the end of March.  So worth it.
But sometimes, those plans don’t work out quite right.
For a while, I planned a trip to Atlanta in the month of January–specifically to escape the cold.
Guess what happened?
A bout of snow hit Atlanta while I was traveling there.
So my dreams of mint juleps on porches were not to be discovered.
But I did find a way to eat and drink my way through Atlanta.
I discovered the Westin in Atlanta had a bar on it’s absolute top floor. Â One that rotated with a beautiful view of the city.
I was indoors, but at least it had an outdoors feel–without an outdoors temperature.
It jumped up to the 70s right after I left. Â Figures.
Have you ever planned a trip around the weather that was supposed to be in your location only to find something really different? Â What happened?
