The Force Awakens Deleted Scenes that Explain Some Plot Holes

I loved the Force Awakens, but there where some things in the film that didn’t quite make sense.

What I’m going to say after this is spoiler-y, so here’s a picture while you decide if you want spoilers.

So some questions people had after the Force Awakens were:

How does Kylo Ren know his father is on the same planet as him?

Why does Maz have Luke Skywalker’s light saber?

Why does Maz immediate trust Rey and how does she know Rey has the force?

Furthermore, why does Maz know so much about the Force?

How does Rey know how to use a light saber/the Force so quickly?

What the heck is going on politically?  I mean, we sorta get it.  But we also are missing how the pieces intersect.

Who is Rey’s fath—wait, that still isn’t addressed 😉

These deleted scenes fill in some of the blanks.

And if you didn’t want to watch the whole video (which I recommend!), here are some answers.

How does Kylo Ren know his father is on the same planet as him?
Kylo Ren discovers the Millenial Falcon in a deleted scene.

Why does Maz have Luke Skywalker’s light saber?
It was found after Luke’s hand made its way to a planet.

Why does Maz immediate trust Rey and how does she know Rey has the force?
Maz has the force!

Furthermore, why does Maz know so much about the Force?
Again, Maz has the force.

How does Rey know how to use a light saber/the Force so quickly?
Rey has a vision that gives her the history of the force.

What the heck is going on politically?  I mean, we sorta get it.  But we also are missing how the pieces intersect.
Princess/General Leia had a scene explaining all of this via being present at a governmental meeting.

As for some of the rest of the Force Awakens plot holes being discussed, here’s a great article that explains some of them.

Ones, such as how Han Solo could have found his ship, bother me since he clearly said he saw it on his radar.  If your car is missing, you can switch lojack on.  Why not have the same thing with an advanced technology–space crafts?

Whether or not there are any actual Force Awakens plot holes, I think it is a great movie.  And when a great movie comes out that breaks records, there are just some people out there who want to prove it isn’t that great.  The box office sales show otherwise!
