The great deals to Hawaii continue to today, with Delta and Alaska offering some good deals to multiple islands, from multiple East Coast locations.
United / Delta – $539: Boston – Honolulu, Hawaii. Roundtrip, including all Taxes
Alaska Air – $549 – $584: New York / Philadelphia – Kona, Hawaii (and vice versa). Roundtrip, including all Taxes
Delta – $585: Washington D.C. – Kona, Hawaii (and vice versa). Roundtrip, including all Taxes
Yesterday, we had DC – Â Honolulu for $550.
I subscribe to the Flight Deals tweets and check them pretty often. Â I may have booked deals during work meetings. Â (If my boss is reading this, disregard the last sentence).
I can jump on fares when there’s still lots of availability and I don’t miss out on the deals I want to take advantage of.
I’ve shared my process of “subscribing†to great fares.
This process involves signing up for twitter.  Even if you won’t be an active user of twitter, it’s a good idea to have an account to take advantage of deals on contests in general.
You can see my post on this here.
I recommend following them even if you aren’t in those areas because they are gateway cities. There’s a lot of good international deals–worth the effort flying out to the gateway.
Can we use Alaska’s VISA companion fare on this?
I haven’t used that before and wondered the same thing. I’ll ask around.
Yes! I used it for ATL-SEA-KOA on Alaska, about $625 roundtrip excluding the companion. Do note that the taxes on the companion fare are a bit higher – I think it was $66.
