Amazon currently has a deal where you can get the blu-ray edition of Star Trek: The Compendium for only $11.99.  The Compendium includes both the original JJ Abrams’ version, plus Into the Darkness.

According to the comments, another bonus of this version is it uses the proper aspect rations for large TVs rather than using black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

The only real complaints are on the packaging.  Apparently, the trays that hold the discs are really flimsy.

Either way, I’m personally in for one.  I haven’t bought either of these yet!
