Traveling can make it difficult to get in a good workout. Â Now you can accomplish your workout goals by ordering red wine on the plane.
Researchers at the University of Alberta analyzed the effects of resveratrol (found in red wine) on the body, and found that it can improve a person’s heart, muscle, and bones in the same way as a session at the gym. Head research Jason Dyck elaborated, saying “resveratrol showed results similar to what you would see from extensive endurance exercise training.â€
I’m going to ignore that the term “resveratrol” sounds like something that would be advertised on an infomercial.  Or that it doesn’t claim you should stop exercising and replace that with wine.
But it does turn my “weird” habit of drinking red wine while using the elliptical into a smart mix of multiple beneficial health activities.  Or something.
