You Can Use Suite Upgrades at Hyatt’s All-Suite All-Inclusives

Hyatt’s new All-Inclusives, the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun are both all-suite hotels.  The lowest-bookable level is a junior suite.

When I used a suite-upgrade at the Hyatt French Quater New Orleans, I was upgraded into one of their junior suites.  So my assumption was that the All-Inclusives were not eligible for suite upgrades.

I reached out to Hyatt just to confirm my suspicion, and was surprised to learn that you can upgrade your stay into a real suite.  Since the properties aren’t open yet, you cannot apply your suite upgrade until the hotels actually open–which is tomorrow for the Zilara and now for the Ziva.

The standard junior suite.

I have a junior suite booked for the Zilara, so I’m going to try this out tomorrow and report on it.  But getting a nicer suite out of a suite upgrade would be sweet, indeed!

  1. Can you use the Chase Hyatt card certificate for a suite, and if so, can we have 2 adults and 1 teenager in one suite?

My guess is you can do that too, but I didn’t confirm. The Zilara is adults only, but the Ziva suites sleep 2 adults and 2 children.

  2. Can’t wait to hear what happens!

  3. Not trying to be mean here, but mommypoints has a great couple of posts on this already with all these questions answered. Is this comment too short?

Mommy Points wrote about whether or not you can use points, and the regular free nights from the Chase Hyatt Credit Card.

Her posts on it are really good, check them out here: http://boardingarea.com/mommypoints/?s=zilara#sthash.5u7DxvpQ.dpbs

I think the commenter above was asking about the suite upgrade certs from the Chase Hyatt Visa and not the regular free nights. I’m just adding that you can use suite upgrades at these all-inclusives, which you might assume if you are already in a junior suite, you can’t use. (Especially since the cert upgrades you to junior suites at some properties).
