Omaze has partnered with Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi to run a charity-benefiting raffle where the winner gets the experience of every Whovian’s dreams–breakfast with the Doctors.
It’s unclear whether or not they will be serving custard and fish sticks.
(I did not see it as an item on the menu at the meetup restaurant, Wolseley Restaurant).
The concept is simple. Â If you make a donation, you receive a certain number of entries comparable to your donation level.
You can donate a few dollars or you can donate a few thousand. Â According to Omaze, 65% of their winners on this type of raffle donated less than $100.
The raffle benefits Red Nose Day. Â Here’s the website’s description of Red Nose Day:
Through the power of entertainment, Red Nose Day raises awareness and money to help kids who need us most—at home and around the world. Red Nose Day launched in America in 2015 with a mission to end child poverty. It has raised nearly $60 million in its first two years in the US. Funds raised support programs that ensure children living in poverty are safe, healthy, educated and empowered. Red Nose Day started in the UK in 1988 and has raised over $1 billion globally in the last 25 years.
You can enter here. Â You get free entries no matter what, so it’s worth signing up even if you don’t donate.
Apparently, travel will be provided by British Airways. Â Not a Tardis.
