I had a strange issue with my numbers merging in US/American and figured I’d mention it in case others need a solution as well.
Somehow, when I checked into my flights, my American number was attaching but adding extra leading zeroes in the front.
I was having trouble with the upgrade list because of this and I was coming up invalid for Admiral’s Club access.
There is a special desk to fix this, and you must call during the week to reach it. It’s a special membership desk and they are dealing with issues related to the merger.
If you’ve experienced any strange issues, I recommend calling them up, just to make sure your number is okay.
I’m thankful for one of the agents at the Admirals Club who was able to determine why I’ve been having issues–and proactively offered that information to me.
