So, yesterday waws May the Forth. As in, May the Fourth be with you.
My friend and I had a crazy idea. Why not come to Seattle for May the Fourth?
Well, why Seattle?
Seattle has a fantastic museum–the EMP Museum–which appreciates general geekier and nerdom.
They had a celebration in honor of May 4th, plus had an exhibit with costumes from the Star Wars movies.
Of course my friend and I had to go.
We got up early, worked on the plane ride to Seattle, went to the museum, and came back to the airport to work.
Exciting stuff, right? They also allowed you to wear a costume.
So I rode a tauntaun around the museum.
He was actually really well behaved except 1. he didn’t corner well 2. ineffective at stairs and 3….
… well. He still hasn’t learned what is his and what isn’t. So I found him trying to play the indie video games there.
Oh well.
And me trying to go upstairs was apparently hilarious for everyone.
Thanks guys.
Anyway, here are some of the costumes from the exhibit. What can you recognize? Let me know in the comments! (And click to make larger). No flash was allowed, so I’m sorry for some of the dim photos.
