Due to weird copyright issues, Alan Wake will never be sold again after today.
Steam has the entire franchise deeply discounted at $4. Â I recommend checking it out and buying it, just in case.
I haven’t played the Alan Wake games yet, but I’ve watched people play it on Twitch and it has a cool storyline/gameplay.
The different versions vary from $3-$4, so if you are going to get one, go for the $4 one. Â The $4 includes all the DLC, so you do not need to pay the extra $0.99 for that (and Steam–thankfully–won’t let you purchase them both).
Here’s Steam’s explanation of what happened with Alan Wake, quoted directly from their website.
If you have not yet played Time Magazine’s 2010 Game of the Year, now is your final chance. Remedy’s Alan Wake is going offline from stores. This is due to the expiration of music license agreements for the game. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is not affected.
For 48 hours, you can buy Alan Wake including DLCs and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare at a 90% discount on Steam.
If you already own Alan Wake – like the majority of the gaming population out there – you have nothing to worry about. The game will stay in your library and continue to work for you.
Someone commented saying that the code needs to be activated before tomorrow.  I don’t know if this is true, but I recommend activating it just in case.

Thanks for the reminder. This was heavily recommended by some friends, and I had forgotten to grab it.
Glad you were able to get it in time!
