A large snake fell out of the overhead compartment on a flight from Torreon to Mexico City yesterday.
In what appears to be a take on the famous Samuel L. Jackson film (and also channeling Indiana Jones), the snake tried to make a break for it before being contained.
From the ABC 7 news affiliate:
On a flight to Mexico City on Sunday passengers were stunned to see the film’s hallmark event, a snake on a plane, happening in real life.
The snake fell after attempting to slither out of an overhead compartment during the flight. Eventually animal control boarded the plane to capture the snake.
While the snake wasn’t python size, it’s certainly much larger than any of the garter snakes I’ve seen in real life
Here’s the footage of it making its wiggly escape:

My only comment is…
(actually, I’m pretty cool with snakes, though I think that has to do with only living in areas with mostly non-venomous snakes).
Not to worry – this was just a service animal!
