A man surprised his girlfriend with a round the world trip–but broke up soon after.
Now he’s offering a free ticket around the world to anyone with her name, Elizabeth Gallagher.
 Taking off on December 21 from New York’s JFK International Airport, the 18-day whirlwind trip takes in Italy, France, Thailand and India, before heading back to Toronto.
To begin his search, he posted a plea on Reddit. It said: ‘I need your help. You see, in March I booked a fairly wicked trip around the world for this Christmas for my ex and I.
‘While our relationship has come to a close, I am still planning on going on the trip and she is not (naturally).
‘And because I hate the idea of a ticket around the world going to waste, I am looking for a Canadian named Elizabeth Gallagher who could use the ticket.
Granted, they only thing they check at security is the name–but since you give birth date information when booking, couldn’t this raise some suspicions/cause trouble for the new Elizabeth Gallagher when traveling internationally?

Reminds me of a promotion that Miller Beer did with the Reds a few years ago If you went down to the stadium, they were offering a $25 gift card for anyone whose name was Miller. We drove down and stocked up 🙂
Aren’t round-the-world tickets typically refundable for a relatively small fee?
From reading the original interview, that guy states they’re still good friends. I wonder why they can’t travel together as friends?!?!?
What makes this tough is the trip is over the Xmas holiday season. Even if my name is Elizabeth Gallagher I wouldn’t go on a RTW trip with someone I don’t know… would rather be with my family.
