Flight Diverted After Man Tries to Open Door in Air

http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-airtran-boeing-737-700-image18163440Following on the tail of a smoke filled diverted flight (see what I did there?), Ben Mutzabaugh of USA Today reports that an AirTrain Flight was diverted after a passenger attempted to open a door.

The flight was enroute from BWI (the destination of the other diverted flight) to Austin.  It landed in Memphis.

What makes this story odd is the man was reported to be “not especially unruly nor do they think he was intoxicated“.

So… he was trying to open the door out of curiosity?  Was he trying to free a fly that was stuck on the plane?  I have so many questions!
