Cirque du Soleil has decided to open the doors to the rehearsals of their Beatles-themed Love show to the public for free.
This show, located in Las Vegas, combines the acrobatics of a Cirque du Soleil show with the Beatles’ discography.
The public can watch rehearsals on Friday and Sunday afternoons. The 30-minute open rehearsals are free.
“We are opening our doors to show fans exactly what it takes to bring ‘Love’ to life,†artistic director Melanie Lalande said in a news release.
According to the Cirque du Soleil website, rehearsals are:
- FRIDAY : 4:15 PM
- SUNDAY : 3:00 PM
All ages are welcome, and there’s apparently a discount available to people who attend the rehearsal. Â (I’m assuming a discount towards seeing the actual show).
I saw this show about a year ago, and it absolutely made me smile.
Mystere was a bit too much for me, but Love struck the perfect balance between Cirque-weird and accessible.
I really recommend seeing it–rehearsals or the “real thing”.  I’m probably going to see it a second time (though, I am a Beatles fan–I just don’t think you need to be one to enjoy it).
