Flights are still being delayed and cancelled in Chicago due to the fires at the radar facility on Friday.
From USA Today’s Ben Mutzabaugh:
About 480 flights had been canceled Monday at Chicago O’Hare as of 12:45 p.m. ET, according to flight-tracking service FlightAware. That represents about 15% of the Monday schedule at O’Hare.
That marks a fourth consecutive day that flights have been disrupted following the fire, with more than 3,750 flights canceled since Friday, according to FlightAware’s count.
This is crazy! Â It leads me to ask, more emphatically, why we do not have systems in place to prevent this.
And the situation shows no signs of improving in the future given the FAA is struggling with their new system revamp.
