Is It Okay to Do Yoga Mid-Flight?

The other day, I wrote about some pre-flight stretches I found that are supposedly great for you.  And I admitted I did them in the lounge–albeit, in a section of the lounge that was completely empty.

But a woman decided to take her stretching onto the plane and did her yoga mid-flight.

I could totally do this post that Ms. Stock Photo Yoga Lady is doing... if I broke off my leg and reattached it. Sorta how I solve Rubik's Cubes by pulling the stickers off and putting them back on.

Since her row was empty, she started doing some poses across the seats.

Eventually, her poses made their way into the aisle, and her sun salutations made their way onto Passenger Shaming’s Instagram.

As a warning, the captions on the following Instagram photo includes explicit language, so I left it off.  If you click through, you can see the actual caption.

So, is it wrong to do yoga while in flight?

I think once the yoga moved into the aisles, that’s when she started being rude to fellow passengers.  But I would assume since you should keep your seatbelt on while seated, the crew certainly wouldn’t want you balancing precariously (well, precariously if I were the one doing the yoga) in your seat.

About a dozen people were injured two weeks ago when their plane encountered turbulence and they didn’t have their seatbelts on.  In this passenger’s case, I can’t imagine her faring too well with the pose on the upper right hand side if they were to hit some rocky air.
