If you spot Kareem Abdul-Jabbar reprising his role from Airplane!, he may tell you you are mistaken. You must have him confused with some- one else. His name is Roger Murdock. He’s the co-pilot.
But don’t be fooled, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is reprising his role from Airplane! along with Robert Hays, the pilot, Striker, who successfully did not eat fish and could fly a plane.
According to the PR agent for Wisconsin’s Department of Tourism’s twitterfeed, this duo will be filming a series of commercials for them–get this–directed by the film’s original directors.

As David Zucker, Jerry Zucker, and Jim Abrahams return to their roles as directors, I’d like to remind you that Airplane! only exists because they did not know how to program their VCR.

Just missing the dearly departed Leslie Nielsen wishing them good luck…
