Airplane! Movie Quote Along with Props in the DC Area

Just a note that the Virginia branch of the Alamo Draft House will be doing three separate Airline! nights, complete with props.  Quoting along is highly encouraged.

From the website:

“You ever seen a grown man naked?â€

The Action Pack is proud to present an entirely different kind of screening: The AIRPLANE! Quote-Along!

July 2 is the 35th anniversary of Zucker, Abraham and Zucker’s legendary disaster parody, a film that, according to the freaking Library of Congress, “introduced a much-needed deflating assessment of the tendency of theatrical film producers to push successful formulaic movie conventions beyond the point of logic.” Well said, Library of Congress.

And what better way to celebrate this milestone than by quoting along to all of your favorite lines printed onscreen, flying a fleet of paper airplanes and waving glowsticks so you can marshal your own big, Tylenol-shaped aircraft? The Action Pack is here to appease your need for speed, and yes, we are serious. (And don’t call us Shirley.)

Speaking of speed, I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines. Now excuse me, doc, I’ve got a plane to land. (By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?) (Meredith Borders)

The showtimes are the evenings of July 20th, 21st, and 23rd.
