The Top Posts on Heels First

Jeffsetter suggested we do a post highlighting the top posts on Heels First so far.  Which got me thinking, there are a few different ways to measure top posts.  There’s obviously the most read, but then there’s also the ones that have been shared the most socially.  And Google recommends some of our posts pretty frequently.  So I figured I’d break it down by different categories.

Please note, there are a few biases to this list.  One is that older posts have more opportunity for reads, and the second is that our readership has grown as time goes on, so newer posts have more immediate reads.  But here it goes, by category:

This was really interesting and helpful for me to go through, from a writing sense.  It was good to know our readers tend to like a mix of personal stories, tips and tricks, and deals/discounts.

Our readers click on our personal stories more often on social media, but they tend to share deals and unique tips more often on social media.

Anna Chapman carries a Chanel purse, outfitted for espionage. And it looks like most our Google traffic comes from people asking questions.  The article on Anna Chapman may seem like an anomaly among the rest, but her name recently came up in the news and our traffic was from people googling “Who is Anna Chapman?”  (For why Anna Chapman came up in the news, check out this post).

What keeps you reading?  What type of posts interest you the most?  What would you like to see more of?
