A few weeks ago, I got a Kensington Key Folio on Amazon’s deal of the day.  I didn’t post about it because I hadn’t tried it yet so could not vouch for it.

A similar model has come up on Amazon.com today marked down to $59.99 from Amazon’s usual price of $109.99 (retail price $129.99).

I wasn’t sure if I was actually going to use this, but it has been fantastic on airplanes.  My laptop broke and I was able to get real work down on my iPad without having to type on the on-screen keyboard.  Being able to prop up the iPad also makes it easier to read.

This does add a lot of bulk to the iPad, but the keyboard is removable.  I actually change out what case I use depending if I’m going to use it for typing or just for playing Plants vs. Zombies casually working.
