  • Cava Grill – Started in 2006 by three friends, Cava Grill has quickly become one of Washington, D.C.’s best fast-casual restaurants. Cava is famous for its Mediterranean and Greek-inspired dishes by Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. The Reagan National location will feature “build it†custom pitas, salads, rice bowls and plates with authentic Greek and fresh local ingredients.  Favorites include braised lamb and beef, falafel and chicken options with a choice of toppings.

Terminal C (Gates 35-45)

  • Kapnos Taverna – Developed by D.C. powerhouse chef, Mike Isabella, Kapnos Taverna – a local concept out of Washington, D.C. – serves classic Mediterranean, Greek Island favorites alongside Isabella’s modern creations from the mainland and Northern Greece
  • Food Court to be redesigned by Paradies – Offering food, grab-and-go snacks, and alcohol. Merchants include Wow Bao (Asian), Washington Pour Bar, and Say Si Bon Gourmet Market.

I’m surprised the Bracket Room is already opening a second and third location.  The first is in Clarendon (Arlington) and is a refreshing twist on the sports bar.  You can get items in healthier or unhealthier versions.  But it is a recently opened restaurant.

Lebanese Taverna has excellent shwarmas and I’m excited about that.  Cava Grill is also quite good–it is a greek spin on the Chipotle concept.

Wow Bao is a Chicago company.  I stop by their branch in the Theater District whenever I’m in that area.  They just opened one in Camden Yards.  I am ridiculously excited to try their grab and go product.

Unfortunately, Vineyard Vines does not actually have any vineyards or vines.

  1. Honestly, if someone is shopping at DCA, either something has gone wrong (i.e. a bag, phone charger, etc was stolen) or they travel wrong. Why wouldn’t someone just carve out a little time to go to Pentagon City (5min away).
